I just got posed this question about Key Largo and our place- is it really so beautiful? Is it romantic?
Yes, it is as beautiful as my photos? - more so, I am only an amateur photographer!
The sky always has a beautiful story to tell.
I think it is romantic- finding unique experiences, quiet, nature, for me this is romantic.
Something unique or special can be romantic too. The houseboat, I think is romantic, its comfortable,, to have your privacy, look out and see the sky, hear the water slap and hang out on the deck in the AM and watch or swim with the manatee:)
Even living here day in and day out, the warmth, breeze, bird songs, bright flowers all nurture the soul.
Anytime is good for the Keys.
It is always warm, wtih cooler evenings and the occasional crazy day or 2 that drop to 40-50 that is winter time. When that happens, it makes major news and they close the schools:) (doesn't happen often.) If you want warm, may have quick showers on one side of the street and not the other, and thee best sunsets over the Everglades, the time is July to Oct., so, NOW:) Sept to early Dec is the cheapest rates around, (often the locals favorite time of year)
The busiest and most expensive time is Jan, Feb. Mar. April.
Sounding like Camelot?
When we are having the hot humid days in the summer, I take off for Key Largo- cooler and with a breeze and water to jump into anytime of day.
