Everyone loves the our houseboats; just the idea of staying on a floating home like your very own island:)-- hearing the water, feeling the gentle movement; being close enough to hear the fish flop and hear the manatee snort:)
I get it. On the occasion that one of our boats are free, I will take my work over to the boat. I love it!
Part of why vacations are so good is it gets us out of our routines. Living on a sailboat or houseboat is different than an apartment, condo or hotel room.
I know boats are not for everyone. If you are not sure, ask yourself the following questions:
First, our houseboats are the American style houseboats: Silver MOOn is 31' long and Everglades Amor houseboat and Dej o Mej sailboat is 38' long
1. do you like being close to the water- to feel it move under you?
2. are you fine being close with whom you are traveling?
3. are you OK with 7 foot ceilings?
4. If you are traveling with another couple, or children are they OK with sleeping in the loft? with 4 feet above you?
5. There are different kinds of live aboard boats around the world.
