"the great mistake of '98" Brooklyn joins Manhattan!

Brooklyn up until 1898 was a separate city from Manhattan and so still has its own town center, performing arts area, fantastic Brooklyn Museum and Botanical gardens and was the origin of the movie industry. The designer of the Brooklyn Prospect Park whom also designed Central Park felt his crowning achievement was Brooklyn's Prospect Park.
