artists living in my neighborhood open their homes and studios for art tours;
Costello Plan has a variety of new good groups.
Just walking around the neighborhood of Ditmas Park;
Historic Flatbush; filled with beautiful architecture, gardens,when your ready
to stop for a drink, our Cortelyou Rd has it.
The movie and film industry has used historic Flatbush since
1900. Stoll the blocks around my
home and see the house used in Sophie’s Choice movie, Halloween 2; Law &
Order TV show, for example. Also
the homes originally owned by Baldwin piano, Arrow shirt Company or Kinney Shoe
silent film stars; My home has
been used in films and commercials too.
There are many-- Historic Flatbush, Ditmas park, Midwood
Park, Prospect Park South, homes have some notable distinctions. a Japanese Pagota house, handcrafted;
largest collection of California Bungalows circa 1910, Tiffany stained glass
windows and some fantastic Painted Lady
Cortelyou Road has a few bars that mix great drinks as well
as an extensive wine and beer list, including organic wines
Artists choose My neighborhood to live for its shear beauty
of the homes and gardens. Brooklyn Botanical garden is a short walk
Floyd Bennett Field athletic area and gardens. 10 minutes from my home, ice skating
rink fantastic and the wilds of the land, you wouldn't think you were still in
NYC
MY block looks like it did in 1910, especially on alternate
side parking days, with no cars to give the year away
